Makeup? With who? Well, this time your eyes.

So, after you have applied your foundation (see Makeup? With who? Your skin of course.) it is time to move onto your eyes, or should I sat up to your eyes.

First, start out with an eyeshadow primer. I am happy with the Elf brand although I haven't tried many so I don't have much to compare it to.

Now, it is time for eyeshadow. Like everyone else in the world I love the Urban Decay Palette but it is a bit pricy, worth it, but pricy.

So some other products that are a bit more in the "fantastically poor college student price range" are....

Next we are on to liquid eyeliner and the brand that I love is the....
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner - Buy at your local CVS
(Seriously, it is awesome.)
Now, your eyelashes!
Get a good comfortable curler, pick one side to start on and curl that side first the apply a good coat of mascara, curl again and then define the lashes with a thinner coat of mascara.
Two types that I love when applying a thick coat of mascara are....

Maybelline Mega-Plush Volume

and

Maybelline Falsies Flared
(Check CVS for these)

And the type of mascara that I like to use for the thinner second coat and my bottom lashes is...
Covergirl Lash Perfection
(Check CVS)

Thank you for reading! Your eyes probably look fantastic now!

I have acquired the "Target" for my new favorite skirt

Target, Target, Target. I truely love that place.
They always have cute stuff, sometimes you have to look a little harder for it, but you always find something in the end.
And then you that wonderful moment occurs, that moment when you find that one piece, the one you swear you are going to take to your grave.
Now, I could be wrong (although I highly doubt I am), but I think I have found that piece. And because I love you guys so much I immediately wanted to share it with you!

This skirt is cut SO beautifully, fits wonderfully, and looks absolutely fantastic on!

The only downside is the belt looks a little bit cheap but honestly it isn't bad and it looks so good with the skirt that it doesn't really matter much.

The thin fabric is comfortably thin without loosing quality and perfect for hot summer weather.

Now, I haven't washed it yet so I don't know what will happen but I would suggest washing it on cold and letting it air dry or, if you do put it in the dryer, run it on delicate and don't leave it in too long.

All in all, I LOVE this skirt!

It goes with so many things and each outfit is cuter than the next and to prove to you that this is true below is a photo of my favorite pairing (so far) with the color skirt I bought.

The shirt is a periwinkle blue (a gift from a friend so it's origin is unknown), the sunglasses are wayfarer style from Target ($15), the shoes are Kimich Blue from a year ago at Urban Outfitters, and the cardigan is BDG also from a year ago at Urban Outfitters.

I also like to pair this skirt with a coral pink tank or a navy blue tank with a long gold colored necklace and gold colored watch.

Basically, I love this skirt and plan on going back to get it in another color. I mean, come on, this skirt is wonderful, only $18, and comfortable, can you really blame me?

Well, thank you for reading and don't forget to comment!
And tune in tomorrow for a eye makeup tutorial!

Makeup? With who? Your skin of course.

You can have an awesome outfit but good makeup is what can send your outfit from good to amazing.
So, to help you out here are the products that I love and use everyday.

I first start out with a foundation. The brand I use is (and have used for years) Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup. I, personally, like liquid foundations the best because of how well they blend.

A huge plus to this particular product is it helps to fight acne, so for someone who only gets the occasional breakout this is a great product to help fight that.

One thing that I suggest you always remember to do when it comes to foundation and conclear never go for the cheaper brand just because it is cheaper, always buy the brand that is the best, that blends in well and matches your skin tone and if that brand happens to be a few extra dollars, buy it anyway.

After I have applied my foundation I like to put a little moisturizer on to help make sure everything is blended in. I suggest one with some SPF in it for added protection.

ALWAYS remember with foundation less is more. You look better with the odd pimple than a face that looks like it was just dipped in your makeup.

Next is blush. As a good friend taught me, it isn't about the brand of blush but your brush and how you apply it. The brush I use and swear by it the Elf Powder Brush (Online it says $3 but I got it for $1 at Target so, go to Target because it's to expensive online).

I hope you find the tips helpful and check back day after tomorrow for my eye tips!

BQueen

While wasting time looking through Wanelo I came across this dress shop and did what I always do, which is go straight to the sale section and found this dress.
Honestly, I am in love with everything about this outfit. From the dress to the headpiece and then down to the bracelets, I love this outfit.
BQueen is another shop that has diamonds in the rough. Amongst the more out there pieces are some items that would be wonders to add to your closet.
For instance this dress is another treasure.
I love this dress as well because it is timeless and be dressed up or dressed down for almost any formal occasion. It also lends it's self to worn with a lot of different colored accessories.
Some suggestions of what to pair it with are these pieces.

A long necklace in the front adds a dash of color to a plain black front. The piece is small so it won't over power the dress, keeping to simple elegance.

Or a shorter bolkey necklace looks good too, so try this one.

For bracelets I would just stick with simple gold bangles worn on both wrists.

With shoes I would say be bold, wear a bold colored pair of shoes.
Here is that famous teal color again that everyone loves which I would pair with the geometric necklace,
Now, I don't usually go for this type of style, I tend to like sticking to the more girly pieces but I really like the contrast between the lace on the back of the dress and the spikes on the shoes.
Now, for the moment we have all been waiting for....... The pair of shoes that I would buy, hands down  to wear with the dress, with either necklace, the bangles, everything.

So, in conclusion, go check out BQueen they have some amazing pieces!
And please leave comments on your opinion of the looks posted!

Other shops mentioned in this post are (in order of appearance):

Jeans? Durning the Summer?

For those jean lovers out there I know that even in this hot weather you refuse to stick your favorite pair in the back of your closet.
Jeans have their place and here is an example of one of my favorite jean summer outfits.

The jeans are Pacsun's Bullhead Black brand and I am in love with them. The light wash color makes them the perfect summer jeans and the fact that are jeggings is even more of a plus because they don't lose shape after an hour of wearing them. These are a great jean and a great brand and I would suggest adding them to your closet. A tip from me, don't buy these online, make sure you go to a store and try them on to make sure you feel comfortable in them because you should NEVER buy jeans that don't fit you just right.

The top is also one of my favorites. I got it on a summer trip to Charleston, South Carolina from this shop called Willy Jay's. Not only does this top look good underneath the denim vest it can also be rocked without the vest, tucked into a pair of jeans.

A big trend of the summer is cuffing your jeans. What I did was roll them over twice it add flair to your outfit while also making your outfit cooler during a hot day.

Don't be shy! Please comment and give me your feedback on the outfit and tell me what you want to see!

Socks

Let me just start by saying that I love socks, like I really do and despite the fact that it is summer I still find ways to wear them.
(Thank you Shelley Johnson for taking this photo!
A great way to give your heels a new look is by pairing them with a fun patterned pair of socks.
I suggest going to Target to find cheap socks, this pair came in a pack of four and wasn't more than 7 dollars.
(I got these size 7 Calico shoes from Goodwill for four dollars! Perfect condition too!)
(Thank you Shelley Johnson for taking this photo!)

While solids are a staple and have their place in your wardrobe, like with these really cute boots of mine, be adventures and buy patterns along with your solids.
(Urban Outfitters, on sale, seriously, stake their sale sections you will find wonderful things!)

So try a pair of socks to add to your summer heels, not only will they add to your outfit they will also keep you warm for those cool summer nights!

MakeMeChic

Flipping through my Seventeen magazine I noticed that a lot of the clothes were from a shop called MakeMeChic.
Now it is a good shop don't get me wrong, but it is good in a different way than most of the places that I like to shop at.
For me, who has more of a girly, 60's, vintage style, it is a lot of bright colors and its more of a place that I would walk away with one or two pieces, not an entire outfit.
Now, don't misunderstand me I would love those pieces till they were no longer wearable, because that is the type of shop that when you do find something you like, you find something that you love.
There skirts hail more on the simple side, focusing more on bandage skirts with a color block pattern.
I am in love with their collection of shorts, for example this pair, seriously I want them so badly.
But since it is summer color is what is in and, in my opinion, one bright piece paired with darker clothing makes a dreary rainy day much more enjoyable, so here is another pair of shorts that I am in love with!
I love the shirt as well but for me, I would pair the outfit with a light brown belt instead of the black, but I still love the outfit!
So go check out MakeMeChic because even if they don't carry your specific style you never know what gems you could find to help spice up your closet!
